Your Tasks and Responsibilities

The offshore grid portfolio in the north sea is going to triple in terms of Gigawatt in the next ten years. At Grid Field Operations Offshore (GFO-O) we need to continuously challenge and develop our strategy as well as to drive the right strategic initiatives in order to cope with that growth. In your role as a Business Development Manager you are the central player enabling GFO-O to do so. In precise, you:

  • Stimulate the development of our strategy and scope strategic business development (BD) projects based on business needs
  • Monitor and report the overall performance of the BD project portfolio and carry out gap analyses to ensure the achievement of the strategic objectives
  • Carry out business analyses to identify strategic improvement areas to ensure long-term operational and business excellence of GFO-O
  • Drive the framing and set-up of BD projects in close collaboration with the project teams
  • Foster communication and cooperation between the BD project leads by e.g. harmonizing overarching processes and sharing best practices
  • Directly liaise with the strategic decision makers in GFO-O
  • Ensure comprehensive communication about the initiatives across GFO-O

Your Profile

  • Senior experience in strategy development and project portfolio management
  • You hold an academic degree (M.Sc. or similar) in industrial, electrical, or mechanical Engineering, business Administration, economics or similar
  • Proven success in strategic areas, cross-functional team interaction, and driving results on time
  • Broad experience in various project management methods and techniques
  • Highly communicative and expert in stakeholder management
  • Excellent analytical skills, ability to quickly assimilate complex topics, tactical thinking and problem solving capabilities
  • Very good skills in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Familiar with reporting structures as well as the development and use of dashboards
  • Project Management Certificate as IPMA or similar would be an advantage
  • Fluent German or Dutch plus English skills
