Your contribution to TenneT

  • You will be responsible for the Project Demand Management of TenneT's Grid Field Operations Offshore department consisting of our existing offshore grid connection systems in Germany and the Netherlands (offshore converter platforms, onshore converter stations, cable infrastructure).
  • As a Project Demand Manager, you are ensuring an efficient and effective process from the initial identification of constraints or events based on operational risks and or strategic business needs to the creation of a reliable project charter / assignment of our maintenance activities.
  • You will work hand in hand with the Project Initiators such as Operating Engineers and Grid Connection Managers and consult in the pre-planning process of maintenance activities by means of scope, budget, schedule, resource and risk management for a smooth handover to the Project Portfolio Manager and Project Leads.
  • You will be responsible to maintain and further develop our IT landscape for the project demand / intake management by means of being the product owner for the tools in use in close alignment with the Project Portfolio-Manager.
  • Together with the Project Governance Specialist and the Portfolio Managers, you will be establishing and shaping the underlying framework of the project demand management by being the responsible process owner.

Your Profile and background

  • You hold an academic degree (Bachelor/Master) in Engineering / Industrial Engineering & Management or a technical field of study with engineering / science background. Alternatively, you have successfully completed a vocational education in a business context working in a technical environment.
  • You have several years of professional experience working as a Demand Manager, Project Lead or Project Portfolio Manager in complex infrastructure environments and ideally have proven knowledge of the offshore industry / electricity grid connection systems.
  • You are trained and experienced using Project Management software, particularly MS Project (Server/ Online). Your skills and experience using Project Management software should include at least resource, cost as well as schedule management.
  • You are familiar with Project Management frameworks, ideally have a project management certification in IPMA or PMP.
  • As our projects and teams are managed internationally, you should be fluent in English and preferably have good proficiency (B2/C1) in German. Speaking Dutch is a plus.
  • You show very good communication skills and can adapt to a variety of audiences; you have very good influencing and relationship management skills – and are able to cope with conflicting interests.
